The curriculum consists of developing 8 major skills that are necessary for participation in any sport or activity. The curriculum’s personal development skills are used to reinforce family values and give students the focus  and motivation to achieve any goal they set in life.

The 8 Major skills are:

Focus, Teamwork, Control, Balance, Co-ordination, Memory, Discipline, Fitness.

 

Karate at JKS Top Valley builds confidence and self-esteem, develops strength, fitness, and flexibility. Training helps with confidence and motor skills and is a great way to meet new people access to local, regional, and national competitions.

As you improve your fitness, master each new move, or gain your next belt you will benefit from an increase in self-esteem and confidence.  This will transfer to your life outside of the dojo.

Karate suits all physical abilities – from those who can do the splits to those who can’t touch their toes.  Karate will improve your cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and flexibility – it doesn’t matter what your starting point is, the important thing is just getting started so that you can see the improvements for yourself.
